Wedding Feedback

Why Dubrovnik?
If you've been there before you'll already know the answer. Essentially the place is absolutely beautiful (Dubrovnik old town is a UNESCO world heritage site). There is also a great balance between old world charm with plenty of things to keep our guests busy, and importantly well fed and watered.
What were your feelings the morning of the wedding?
We were both a bit nervous but excited.
Did you have a wedding theme / colour theme?
The bridesmaid wore royal blue so we had a blue theme throughout the decorations.
Was planning a wedding abroad more complicated than planning a wedding at home?
There was a fair bit of legal paperwork that needed to be completed and sent to the parish in Dubrovnik but not excessive. We also made a trip out to Dubrovnik to choose the church and hotel but this was an excuse for a holiday! It was great to have a wedding planner as it made the wedding organisations a lot easier.
What was the feedback you received on your wedding?
Everyone really enjoyed the wedding as it was so relaxed and different to a typical wedding at home.
Did you go over your planned budget?
No.
Do you think you would have spent more or less if you were to organise a wedding at home?
Definitely more at home but also can't think of anywhere at home where we would have had such a fantastic time no matter what the spend.

Comments about the wedding planning

Only good things to say here! We met with Nina about 1 year before the wedding in September 2007. She took her time to listen to us, we spent all afternoon with her going through wedding details and had a nice lunch doing so.
We did so much during this meeting that for months to come I could relax. We really felt we could rely on her.
