Why Dubrovnik?
We had always planned on getting married abroad and we had heard good
reports about Dubrovnik. We decided to go out for a few days and check
it out. As soon as we had seen it for ourselves we knew it would be
perfect for the wedding.
What were your feelings the morning of the wedding?
We were naturally a bit nervous on the morning of the wedding but
we knew that everything had been taken care of by Nina and her team.
Did you have a wedding theme / colour theme?
We did not really have a theme for the wedding. The bridesmaids dresses
were a teal colour and so our planners arranged the flowers and cake
ribbon to match the dresses.
Was planning a wedding abroad more complicated than planning
a wedding at home?
Not at all, in fact it was made easier by the fact that we had a planner
sorting everything out for us. All we had to do was sort out the legal
end of things within Ireland and then choose the church and reception
location. The wedding planners sorted everything else out for us.
What was the feedback you received on your wedding?
All our guests had a fantastic holiday and a wonderful time on the
day of the wedding. The church was beautiful, the Hilton was stunning
and the weather was fantastic. We could not have asked for a more
special day.
Did you go over your planned budget?
No. We were given an exact breakdown of all the costs and were able
to manage our budget ok.
Do you think you would have spent more or less if you were
to organise a wedding at home?
For sure we did not spend as much as a wedding at home would have
cost.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our planning team over in
Dubrovnik for giving us the wedding of our dreams. We are so glad we
put our trust in Dubrovnik Riviera Weddings as they did not disappoint.
From our initial meeting when we first visited Dubrovnik, right through
to the day of the wedding, she made us feel very at ease and was so
professional and helpful.
We had numerous emails and skype conversations and we were kept up to
date with each and every step. They made us feel so at ease and was
able to build the wedding day around everything that we wanted. We were
able to relax and spend time with our family and friends on the days
leading up to the wedding and had such an amazing time in the week we
spent in Dubrovnik. I can honestly say that without the help of Nina
and her team, we would not have been able to have the day that we did.
We met with our planners on the day after the wedding and they asked
us if there was anything we would have changed or if there was anything
we did not like about the day. Our answers were both the same in that
we would not have done anything different. We had an amazing day and
look back on it with such fond memories and we have no hesitation in
recommending Dubrovnik Weddings to anyone wishing to get married abroad.
