Why Dubrovnik?
A chance to get married in a beautiful setting of a world heritage
site with weather you can rely on!
What were your feelings the morning of the wedding?
Excitement, a tiny bit nervous.
Did you have a wedding theme / colour theme?
Ivory! We (read mainly Becky) was very hesitant about picking any
colours.
Was planning a wedding abroad more complicated than planning
a wedding at home?
No, Nina and her team made the process very simple. We knew we could
count on them to take care of everything so we just had to make the
decisions from the options they gave us. Nina was also very helpful
in making decisions (she's an expert!) when we were unsure of what
to do.
What was the feedback you received on your wedding?
Fantastic! Everyone had an unbeleavable time. It was truly the best
day of our lives and all of our friends and family had such an amazing
time. They could completely see why we chose to have our wedding in
such a beautiful place
Did you go over your planned budget?
Yes, but mainly due to the brides expensive taste in her wedding dress.
:-) Expenses in Dubrovnik worked out to pretty much be as expected.
Do you think you would have spent more or less if you were
to organise a wedding at home?
Our budget was relatively fixed. We probably would have spent about
the same amount in England but would have got a lot less for our money.

We found the Dubrovnik Riviera Weddings-team to be fabulous! Our family
were very impressed on the day as well to see them making sure everything
ran smoothly and making sure everyone was happy.
We couldn't have been happier on the day and having the wedding planners
there took all of the worry of the day away from us. We just got to
be there, spend time with our family and friends and enjoy it! During
the planning she was fantastic, even when we (Becky) changed her mind
on some things over and over, it was never a problem, nothing was every
too much to ask of Nina. She was very helpful putting final touches
together for us the week we arrived in Dubrovnik.
We were able to enjoy our vacation without having to plan the week of
the wedding. Everything ran smoothly and everyone had such an amazing
day. We're still sad it's over and would do it all again if we could!
Maybe we'll be back to re-new our vows in a few years just as an excuse!
I would suggest meeting your wedding planner ahead of time to make
sure you connect well and feel comfortable that you can put all of your
trust in them so you don't have to stress out too much during organising
your wedding (why have a wedding planner if it doesn't take some of
the stress out of it!).
Make a week of your stay in Dubrovnik, it makes the day very memorable
when everyone has had a chance to meet each other throughout the week
and then you get to finish it off with a big party. Definitely worth
it!
